Powernaps

Power naps can be of enormous benefit - Everything you need to know about napping at lunchtime

In this video, we’ll look at taking a sleeping break. One important note before we start: if you have problems getting to sleep or sleeping through the night, you should certainly not take a nap during the day. Otherwise, the sleep pressure is too low in the evening. For everyone else, taking a sleeping break during the day is highly recommended.

A large number of scientific studies from Asia and Australia have shown that a sleeping break should not last for more than 15 minutes from the point in time you go to sleep.

The reason is that then, you are least at risk of slipping into the deep sleep phase. When you wake up from the deep sleep phase, you tend to feel groggy and disoriented. That’s something you're better off avoiding.
